We come bearing peace
 “Pedimos posada/we ask for shelter”

A procession, a prayer, a cry through the streets of our city. Sunday, December 15, 4:00 pm.

We walk through the streets of our city, with Mary and Joseph for all who seek shelter.

We will keep walking! We will keep opening the door!

We will not let fear and divisiveness take over our hearts!

Join the Posada—the journey of Mary and Joseph seeking shelter—in a bilingual, multi-sensory procession of prayer and solidarity.  We will process 1 mile from Powderhorn Park to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  We walk with those that journey with hope towards the US border.  We walk with those separated from their families.

Reminiscent of “La Natividad” enacted by In the Heart of the Beast Theatre with St Paul’s Lutheran in the past, we gather together, bearing peace. We will share food and music together at the end. All proceeds from a free-will offering will go groups which accompany immigrants through legal proceedings.

We gather at Powderhorn Park beginning at 3:00 pm (3400 15thAv So, 55407)

We will leave the Park Center at 4:00 pm, and travel to St Paul’s Lutheran Church (2742 So 15thAve, 55407)

At the church there will be a bonfire, food, music, and a living Nativity.

This event is initiated by St Paul’s Lutheran Church and The Semilla Center for Healing and the Arts. With cooperation from Edina Community Lutheran Church, St Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, In the Heart of the Beast Theatre.
